Mini Cyclcone Mod Using an Old Household Vac

We had an old Eureka upright that still worked quite well as a hose vacuum even though the floor brush and intake was cracked beyond repair. So, I disassembled the vacuum and set it into a spray foam cradle for noise and vibration dampening. I then attached an Oneida Dust Deputy and ran it for three weekends worth of workshop use. It worked beautifully!

Once I knew it wasn’t going to burn out any time soon, I turned to my boys (5-12 yrs old) for some paint and naming ideas. I think we would have made the evil Dr Doofenshmirtz, from the cartoon show “Phineas and Ferb”, very proud!
